Individual licensed premises will be encouraged to join the partnership to share the positive benefits of membership which includes the Safer Socialising Award.
Membership of a partnership and participation in the Safer Socialising Award may have a positive influence on the criteria for fitness to hold a licence. Membership details may be made available to licensing authorities and police.
To achieve the Safer Socialising Award individual licensed premises must:
Be a member of the partnership Agree to be inspected and to comply with the conditions of the award Make any improvements required by the inspection Maintain the standards agreed at the time of the award Notify the board of any departures from those standards Support the work of the partnership, which is to reduce crime, disorder and alcohol-related anti-social
behaviour and create a safe and secure business environment for the day and evening economies.
